Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

here is a pic of Alee ( now named Chile ) with her new brother (Mako). She is doing well. Thanks again , Tim Phillips

Amelia the Kitten
Amelia the Kitten

I adopted Amelia on 7/10. She’s the sweetest little girl; we all love her so much! She’s adapted well to her new home and quickly become part of our family. She’s gained a pound already and is finishing up her booster shots. She loves to play with her feather toys and a lime green feather boa. She misses her siblings but I just wanted to let you know she has a great home and we’ll take the best care of her for the rest of her life. Thank you!! Shelley Elzer

It's Sunday and she's adapted quite well to her new home. She's a keeper! Thank you, Pattie

Apple the Starved Boxer
Apple the Starved Boxer

Apple has settled in very nicely to the Romeo house. Apple is a mama’s girl, stays very close to me but also loves my husband Pat and my daughter Michelle. It took 3 days to get her to go into the backyard, which makes sense given her history of being abandoned in the backyard. Lots of TLC and cookies can work wonders. She goes right into her crate when we go to work, no hassles. She loves to play with her toys and sit on your lap. She loves to be as close to us as possible. She was seen at the vet and weighed 55.3#; she only weighed 31# when she was rescued. The vet said she was in excellent health. We signed her up for 8 week course of obedience classes as she is big and strong and we want her to be well-behaved. She is very smart and loves to show off her tricks, she goes thru sit, shake, and lay down as 1 big trick. She has not had any accidents since the first day we got her. She did not bark at all for the first 5 days, barked a few times since then. If she has to go out during the night she wakes me up and out we go. She sleeps right next to the bed (my side). Thanks for allowing us to adopt Apple, she is a real sweetie!! J Barbara

Aiko
Aiko

Good Morning, Three months ago we adopted a wonderful friend, Aiko, the cat. We renamed him Charlie after watching him how he and our 12 year old dog-daughter Annie adapted to one another. I've attached a picture which indicates how much they enjoy one another's company. And yes, the couch is theirs. Thank you for your wonderful service and we happily recommend Pet Rescue By Judy to anyone we know who is contemplating pet adoption. Wish we could adopt more! Sincerely, Jim & Dianna McShea
