Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Anastasia
Anastasia

Hi! I had run into Judy at the Rescue Fest on Saturday and she had mentioned to send a success story about "Anna!" I adopted a hound dog by the name of "Anastasia" from Pet Rescue By Judy in February 2001. I always called her "Anna" for short. She has been a real friend and true companion her entire life along with her sister "Sasha" another hound adopted from the SPCA in 2003. They are so spoiled and I love them both so much. I attached pictures Thank you for letting me share my story. Dave

Annie - Declawed
Annie - Declawed

I wanted to give you an update. Annie is doing great! She has adjusted to her new surroundings and the other cat. Who ever had her before spoiled her pretty good because she fit right in. She’s social and seems very happy to be back in a home. She didn’t hide at all and loves to be petted. She follows everyone around to see what’s going on. Glad it worked out! Bill

Aphrodite the Boxer Puppy

Hi Lauren – I am so happy to hear from you! I’d be happy to send some updated photos of Maya (we’ve renamed her), and share her story. Here is a few photo’s for now. She is an amazing blessing that we are so fortunate to have! She is so good with every dog we’ve introduced her too, we’re thinking of adopting another so she has a brother or sister to hang out with.Tito and I have wanted to bring her up to mall to come see you – she’s 85 pounds, and growing!! I don’t have a lot of photo’s here at work, but will send you something from home within the week with a little excerpt. Maya loves to swim, and then she naps – here is the before and after from one day in July with her. Thank you for all you do and for taking care of our baby!! Carianne

Ava Maria the Dachshund

Just wanted to send a note letting you know about my success story. A month ago I adopted Ava Maria, the Dachsund/Black Lab combo, from the PRBJ location at Oviedo Marketplace Mall. She was cuddled on Brooke's (her foster mom) lap while her puppies were having a blast playing with the kids. I was instantly drawn to her sweet face and easy demeanor. When I brought her home it really only took an afternoon for her to feel comfortable and act like she had always lives there. I renamed her Gilligan, Gilly for short. She is best buds with my rat terrier Dingo and even the cats tolerate her. She loves nothing more than to cuddle on the couch and she insists on having her belly rubbed. She has had no issues and Dingo and I couldn't be happier. Thanks so much to Judy for saving her from an impending death and Brooke for being such a great foster mom to her and her puppies.
