Make sure you check out the videos of Jocelynn at the dog park and at my house. It will totally make you wonder how such a lovely dog wound up needing to be rescued. Jocelynn is a lovely boxer mix that came to us from a high kill shelter in Georgia. I mean, look at that face! I can't believe it either. Jocelynn is a wonderful dog who is great with everyone that she meets. I mean everyone! Right now, she's living with three other dogs and two silly humans and she just loves it, especially when we throw the tennis ball for her! She's so smart and very sweet too. I don't know what kind of situation she came out of, but she is very underweight. Don't you worry, we'll get some weight on her and keep on giving her all the love we can. Won't you open your heart and give her the chance to live the happy life that she deserves?

11/03 Foster Update:
Jocelynn arrived skinny, starved, neglected, and possibly abused (she used to piddle sometimes when I would reach down to pet her or if I tried to grab her collar like she thought I was going to hit her).

She is wonderful with other dogs and loves all people, adults and kids alike. Haven't had her around cats yet...not really sure about cats. She's super smart and very trainable. She needs tasks to do, and has that very loyal willingness to please that can be very hard to find in a dog. She has a lot of energy and plays like a typical puppy. She and my 4 month old puppy play with each other nonstop! I think they played for at least an hour when I got her into my home. Can I also just say, I have NEVER seen a dog so HAPPY to come inside. I took off the leash, and she instantly started sprinting around the house and rolling around on the carpet! It was so cute!

We bring her to the dog park almost every day to resocialize her. She loves to play fetch with the tennis ball and play with the other dogs. She is crate trained, and housetrained. She still has an occasional accident in the house when my back is turned and she hasn't been out for several hours; but as long as she is in her crate, she doesn't have any accidents. She just needs to be let out frequently until she fully understands the concept, and she knows that she is supposed to go outside. Jocelynn is just a really fun dog. We try to take her with us everywhere we go. She usually just sprawls out in the back seat of the car and takes a nap when we travel, and she absolutely loves going for car rides. Everyone who meets her loves her, especially kids because she loves to give kisses. She's a licker! She loves her crate, and often takes naps in it. Whoever adopts her must also have a crate for her to be kept in while she is left home alone because she is still a pup. We absolutely love having her as a foster, and I know that whoever adopts her is going to be so glad that they opened their hearts to her because she is just such a total love. Check out the videos of her below.

11/11 Update: I can honestly say that she is housetrained now. Hasn't had an accident in a week. She's such a good baby. She is all about the tennis ball. She loves them. She's great with other dogs and loves kids. One kid that met her even giggled that she would rename her "Kisser" because all she does is lick, lick, lick! I bring her into Plasterrific with me sometimes and everyone who meets her always comments on how sweet she is. She's such a doll.

According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Boxer's ancestors were two German mastiff type dogs, the Bullenbeiszer and the Barenbeiszer. They were later crossed with the powerful ancestors of the Mastiff and Bulldog. Early on, these
