09/28/2016 UPDATE Dede is learning to do better with other cats.  She may only have one eye, however that doesn't stop her from anything.  She is full of energy and affection.  Please don't overlook Dede she will make you smile every day.

04/13/2016 Dede had a severely injured eye that had to be removed however, she is still a beautiful and vibrant cat.  She is ready for a home of her own and family to call her own.  She would do best as the only cat.

A Tortoiseshell is not a breed but is, instead, a reference to the coloring of their coat. According to the book "For The Love Of Cats" Tortoiseshell cats have a coat with a combination of any one solid color and red or cream. These colors may be completely mixed as in brindled tortoiseshell or separate as in patched tortoiseshell. The solid color may be black, brown, blue, chocolate, lilac, cinnamon, fawn, or golden." T orties are almost always female.
