Ellie came to us from a very high kill shelter.  Some of the shelter workers there saw how sweet she was and begged Judy to take her and find her the perfect home that she so deserves.   Ellie is housetrained and gets along with other dogs.  She is a curious and beautiful dog!  Ellie loves to swim .

Dog 4 a Day update 4/2/16 :  Ellie spent the day at our house. Unfortunately it was raining so we weren't able to bring her to the dog park. She did just fine hanging out with us at the house. She was very curious and liked to sniff everything she came in contact with. She liked to stare at her reflection in the TV and when you turned it on she perked up her ears and jumped to get a closer look at the TV. You can tell she has not been in a house before and everything was very new to her. She did not know how to climb the stairs but she was a fast learner and with words of encouragement she will follow you. She is such a sweet dog and loved meeting our dog. She liked nibbling on the dog toys and playing with them. She loved being pet (especially behind the ears). The whole time she spent the day at the house she had a big smile on her face and never stopped wagging her tail. At the end of the day we gave her and our dog a biscuit and they ate nicely together. On the car ride there and back Ellie just liked to sleep in the back seat and never caused a fuss. She is a big cuddle bear and just wants to be friends with anyone that shows interest in her.
