Jake came from an extremely high kill shelter in Tennessee, where the adoption rate is only 8%. As soon as our visiting staff saw him, we knew that we had to bring him to Judy's so that he could have his well-deserved forever home. Jake is such a sweet dog - he's good with kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes!  He is totally crate trained, walks great on a leash, and is very mellow. He is such a special dog and would be a great addition to any family!

DOG 4 A DAY UPDATE 3/21/16:  We had a chance to take Jake on Sunday and spend some time with him.  He was absolutely wonderful.  We had our dog Rosie with us (also a PRBJ success story) and our 5 year old daughter.  He got along swimmingly with both of them.  We went to the park and he was very good at fetching the squeaky toy and great around all the other dogs.  We took him down to the river walk and he walked very well on the leash and had no negative reactions to other people or other dogs that passed by.  We also took him to our house for a little bit.  He did see our cats and did not chase them, nor did he do anything negative at our house-he came in, sniffed around a bit and then made himself at home by crashing out on the floor for a nap.  He would make a wonderful addition to anyone's family!

DOG 4 A DAY UPDATE 2/28/16:  We took Jake with us to visit a friend who was in town for the weekend with her family.   We were in a local area, and everyone who saw him loved him, and commented on how sweet and good he was!  Then we went to a small park so we could walk around and enjoy the weather - it was a beautiful day outside!  We brought along some dogs toys, one of which he loved (a stuffed hedgehog).  He proudly walked around the park for a while, not wanting to drop it out of his mouth (see picture below). He enjoyed some homemade dog treats, lots of water, walking and sniffing, and then eventually a nap on the grass.  He is gentle, loving, calm, and so well-behaved, both at the park and in the car.  You simply could not ask for a better dog!!
