12/20/15 Bo and Toby went out with a lovely family for dog 4 doy. They were very laid back and enjoyed cuddles on the sofa all day.

Bo and his brother Toby  were adopted together when they were 8 weeks old.  They were given to a women and her mother as a gift.  Unfortunately, they are not able to care for such young dogs.  Toby has the brown nose and Bo has a black nose.  They are wee pad trained.  They have never been around really young children but children 8 years and older they are good with.  Both dogs ran free around the house and had dog beds on the floor.  They love squeaky toys and again are considered very playful....Toby and Bo HAVE to be adopted together.

Bo had a great day at the senior retirement home on Friday .  Bo and Toby would be great in an adult home since this is their background,  Judy

Are you unfamiliar with the Shih Tzu breed? Pronounced SHEET-sue, they are known as alert, spunky, happy and hardy. They are bred with an underbite which gives them a constant "smile." Traditionally, their coat is kept long, with ears blending into the body, distinct mustache, and a top knot secured with a bow. However, in our Florida climate, many are clipped short to relieve them of the heat. An alert watch dog, Shih Tzus like to bark but are usually quiet in the house. Originally from China, they were a favorite of the Imperial Chinese court and so revered that for many years after the Chinese began trading with the West, they refused to sell, or even give away, any of the little dogs. It was not until 1930 that the first pair was imported to England. The life expectancy of Shih Tzus in 16 years.
