Dallas came to us from a family that was not able to give him and his siblings a proper home. He is a sweet dog and loves to play and snuggle. Dallas has tan patches around both eyes.
*** According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Labrador Retriever is a loving, affectionate, lovable, patient dog. Once known as the "St John's Dogs," the Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds in the United States. Originally from Newfoundland, Canada the Labrador was trained to jump overboard into the icy waters to haul fisherman's nets to shore. Specimens were brought to England in the 1800's by English ships coming from Labrador, where the dog's fine retrieving instincts were honed and developed. One of the best family dogs and canine companions because of their gentle, loving disposition, the highly trainable Labrador also excels in drug detection, as a guide for the blind, and service dog for the disabled. The breed is also an outstanding obedience and field trial competitor. Highly intelligent, loyal, willing, and high-spirited. Lively and good-natured, they love to play, especially in water - for they love to swim. They have an excellent, reliable, temperament and are friendly, superb with children and equable with other dogs. They crave human attention and need to feel as though they are part of the family. Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
They're all light colored, 2 males, 1 female, high energy, very playful and sweet, doing great with potty training (use pee pads and a synthetic grass potty which they all know how to use), all know how to sit and know what no means and drop it. They adore other dogs no matter what size. They are gentle with little dogs and like to play with big dogs. They're submissive when the adult dog acts dominant and playful and fun with friendly dogs. They will leave small timid dogs alone. They love food and are now eating only dry 2 times a day. They keep increasing gradually so i won't say a measurement unless someone takes them home.
They love toys especially tug toys and stuffed animals. Love playing and imams round the yard and are so adventurous and curious. They're trying out a kiddie pool this weekend so I'll report back on that.
They're amazing dogs. So smart and sweet, will make incredible family pets for someone with kids and another dog. Fenced yard would be best and they do not like crates at first but like their XXL playpen :)
They like being next to their human all the time and will try to sleep on the couch with us (we love it, but if future adopters want them off the furniture they will need a nice dog bed and to be trained as they grow).
They don't have bad habits really, they try to pick up mulch or dig a bit but listen to everything I say, come here, drop it, and no. They love being praised and expect a lot of it every time they potty outside as I've been doing. They will try to climb through or under gates and fences because they're curious and adventurous bit if you say no theu will stop, or call them back in a happy voice they'll come galloping back to you.

Dallas is the sweetest puppy you'll ever meet! He's very playful and wants nothing more than to please and nothing less than to dissapoint. He responds very well to a stern "no" and needs no further correction because of this. He's very smart and listens well, which will make him a breeze to train!
He loves dogs, especially bigger ones that are tolerant of his puppy antics, like climbing on their back and chewing on their ears! He is respectful of dominant dogs, male or female, and will submiss and play with them less. He is gentle around small dogs and backs off if they're not interested. He also loves people and kids, and will cry to be picked up. He loves giving kisses, snuggling and chasing his pack and humans around the back yard.
He sits on command and also sits patiently while waiting to be picked up or to be given food or water - SUCH a good boy! Other than digging a bit and picking up mulch or other undesirable objects (which he will drop immediately on command), he doesnt do anything bad. He pottys outside every time, and goes on his pee pad or synthetic grass potty inside. He responds very well to praise and is very upset and sad when scolded, so a gentle and understanding owner is best. He would thrive in a family with kids and another friendly dog, and would love to still have a yard to call his own.
If you're looking for the sweetest family dog, one who will look up to his family like you're the only thing on this planet, then Dallas is for you!
