About Bruiser the Ocean's Eleven Pup | |
Hi, I'm Bruiser. Don't let my name fool you, I am really a big softie. I can sometimes be a little reserved at first in new situations, but once I am comfortable, I will give lots of love and kisses. I have a lot of energy and love to run outside. I love to lay on my foster brother's blanket and spend quite frequently hide my favorite toys there as well. I eat about 2 cups of dry food twice a day. I am pretty good in my crate, but I am much happier with people. I am currently find my tail interesting and try to catch it every once in awhil,e but it is a quick little thing and always seems to stay just out of reah~ My foster family also tells me that I have this cute habit of raising my paw. They love that I will raise my paw when I am playing or sometimes just to get their attention. If the paw doesn't work sometimes I try to talk to them.
Black Mouth Curs are great family dogs. They are great social dogs if trained properly. The BMC is a "very smart" breed who "by nature need to bond a few weeks" with their owner/trainer before training can begin. The breed shows great loyalty and may even die for their owner. Fearless and relentless in the wild, Black Mouth Curs happen to be very sensitive and gentle with people: Around children they tend to tone-down the play and become more mild and protective. They are outgoing, affectionate and very protective of family members. As they grow older they become very laid back. "The BMC was bred as a homestead dog that would protect its family and home against intruders. These dogs are bred for ability and intelligence which is one reason that they are so versatile. They have a strong natural desire to please their master. Most can be controlled by the tone of voice that the master uses and they can be trained to do anything.
