Malakeh The Tortoiseshell's sister, Noor (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
Description: Malakeh and her littermate were rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. It is a shelter that gasses their animals in mass. They start to whimper after a few seconds and die crying. It is horrible. When we found out that they had 50 scheduled for death on a Friday, we agreed to take a handful if the local group of volunteers could bring them to us. They did, but their was a mix up and they brought us 26!!! Oh my!!! What were we to do? We couldn't very well turn them away so we accepted them and now pray for a sudden influx of fosters and adopters!!! 8/14 Volunteer Update: She's Noor's sister, and she's definitely the "outgoing one." Malakeh loves to roam around in the back room while I'm cleaning, poking her nose into small spaces and finding all the random toys that have somehow freed themselves from kitten clutches. She's not afraid of people, and enjoys a good head scratch and body rub. She's laid-back, too, for the most part (at least from what I'd seen) and I think she'd do ok in a home with another cat or two. She's also so very pretty in person with medium-hair length with beautiful dark calico markings.
