Pike was found in a Walmart parking lot in GA and brought to Judy. He and his siblings are playful and adorable! They are now ready for adoption and they hope you will consider bringing one of them home!

HI! I am Pike and I am looking for my forever home! I am a young curious puppy who will give you lots of love. My foster dad wanted to share this information with you.

Leash Manners - Walks well on leash when with his foster sister. When he is walked by himself he some times freezes and needs to be picked up.

Crate/House Training - Working on house training - only one accident in the house. Pike is crate trained and is fed in his crate. He will stay in his crate quietly as long as you are in the same room. If he is by himself he will cry for a few minutes but will settle down pretty quickly

Socialization – Pike as meet many different size dogs, but because of his size likes the smaller ones better. He does try to play with his foster sister a 60 lbs. lab but she can be a little rough with him.

Energy Level and Exercise – Moderate puppy energy –  Pike can be very energetic at times, but takes many naps thought the day.

Daily Structure and Schedule –  get up 6:30 -7 out in yard for 30 minutes. Eat breakfast in kennel. 30 minutes of quiet time after breakfast. Let them back out in to yard or den with me. 8:30 back in Kennel while I get ready for work (Workdays). some workdays he gets to go to work with me, other days he has to stay home. Dinner time is around 6:30 or 7. After dinner 30 more minutes of quiet time and then he is free to roam the house, play with his sister, or sit with me. Bed time is 10- 10:30 which we go out one last time before bed. He sleeps in his kennel at night

Confidence Level – A little shy at first but friendly and confident with people. He is good with other dogs, but like to play with smaller dogs because of his size. Enjoys car rides.

Obedience Training – He is learning "sit","come" "House" and "no" He makes good eye contact and seems to want to please, so he should be easy to train.

Personality Quirks – Pike is a good puppy and seems eager to please. he will need a strong pack leader

Ideal Home -  Would love an active home with a single person, a couple or a family.  He would enjoy a fenced yard and someone who would enjoy walking and playing with him.  He  enjoys my dog and would be good in a two dog house.  He is playful and gentle and will bond quickly to a caring person who has time for him.  He will make a loyal companion or a great family pet

**The Rottie is powerful, calm, trainable, courageous and devoted to its owner and family. Loyal and protective, it will defend its family fiercely if needed, seemingly immune to pain. Serious, even-tempered, brave, confident and courageous, this breed needs an owner who is strong minded, calm, but firm and able to handle this dog’s massive size. The Rottie is a docile, natural guard dog with a laid-back, reliable temperament. It is highly intelligent and has proven its worth beyond question in police, military and customs work over many centuries and can be trained for competitive obedience. This breed needs a lot of leadership and socialization. It will not be happy confined to a kennel or backyard. The objective in training this dog is to achieve pack leader status. It is a natural instinct for a dog to have an order in its pack. When we humans live with dogs, we become their pack. The entire pack cooperates under a single leader. Lines are clearly defined and rules are set. You and all other humans MUST be higher up in the order than the dog. That is the only way your relationship can be a success. When the Rottweiler receives consistent leadership and is trained, it will be a good playmate for the children.
