Description: Little Oreo was filthy, flea-infested, and scared when he walked up to a woman's front door. Not wanting to get into any legal trouble, she tried to take him back to his proper home. The people said they were moving and didn't want to take the dog with them. She persuaded them to let her find Oreo a good home. She gave him a bath and lots of cuddles. But she works long hours, and she knows it isn't fair to leave a puppy alone for such a long time. So she asked us to help find Oreo a forever family. We took one look in his eyes and said "Of course."
Oreo warms up to people very fast. Within five minutes of meeting the staff, he was already giving out kisses. He knows how to walk on the leash. He loves going in the car! His favourite treat food is bananas. We are really not sure what his breed is, but we think he might end up being kind of a big boy. He loves playing with big dogs. He went for a play date with a 70-pound pointer/greyhound, and the two of them had a blast tearing through the house. He is super sweet and affectionate, with lots of love to give. And we know you will love him back just as much.
The Terrier is a good-natured, amusing, extremely loyal and affectionate family pet, which is good with children and adults. Almost always obedient, it is always eager to please its master. It is an extremely courageous and intelligent guard dog that is very full of vitality. They are highly protective of their owners and the owner's property. It is usually very friendly, but has an uncanny ability to know when it needs to protect and when everything is okay. Excellent with children in the family, they have a high pain tolerance and will happily put up with rough child play. As with any breed, they should not be left alone with unfamiliar children. Used as all around working farm dogs, they were referred to as "the poor mans horse". They are strong and generally weigh between 40 and 70 lbs. They have a life expectancy of about 12 - 14 years.
