Description: Aubrey came to us from a woman who found herself being transferred...that day. She needed a bath and a little TLC but is ready to go and would really love some company...and this time a forever home.
FOSTER UPDATE: This little guy is only 5 pounds and seemed to be starved when I brought him home. He has a very healthy appetite and has been eating the Kirkland super premium adult dog food. It is a canned food rated at five stars and should help him gain a little weight. The dog is very sweet and got along with my two dogs immediately. During our bathing and grooming process at the shelter the dog never acted up or showed any aggression. Aubrey was easy to groom and held still with out trying to escape. Aubrey is content to sit in my lap as long as I will let him but is OK with laying on a pillow on the couch, if I need to move around. He must be well potty and crate trained because he goes as soon as I let him outside, and has not messed in the house or the crate I keep him in at night. Last night was his first night here, so I crated the little guy and after a few moments of letting me know he would like to be with me and wanted to make sure it was not a mistake to be locked up, he fell asleep and never made a noise all night. I let him outside in the morning and he did what he needed to do right away. I think this would be a good dog for someone without very small children because this dog is so delicate it could be hurt by someone not being careful enough in their play. For the same reason I would not put this dog with large dogs that could play rough and hurt this little guy. My little Chi and rat terrier are three times the size of this little one but they are well trained and have not tried to bother this newcomer and are content to just sniff and lay down with him.
