The name "Felicity" comes from a Latin word meaning "luck" or "good fortune." And Felicity was very fortunate when she chose a house at random to walk up to. The person who owned the house was one of our police officer friends, who brought Felicity to our shelter. Now, the first thing we do is scan for a microchip. Well, Felicity had one, so we were able to contact the owner. Typically, when we make a call about a found animal, the person on the other end is so overjoyed they can barely speak, and they're at our door in 10 minutes. Our hearts broke just a little bit when the owner said she hadn't bothered to look for the dog and we "could do whatever with it." But only a little bit, because we know that we can find her a good home, where she will be loved and cared for her...and maybe even a little bit spoiled. Felicity is a sweet dog, who likes people and walks. She loves running outside with other dogs. We know it will be your lucky day when you take Felicity home.
