Description:
Scotty was surrender by his owner who was no longer able to keep him. He is easy-going, calm and loving, but is a good watch dog and will let you know if there is a person, bird, or even lizard outside of the house. New people will not remain strangers very long to him; he can make a friend quite easily! He loves to snuggle and welcomes an open lap.

Scotty doesn’t have a lot of puppy left in him, but it will come out every once in a while. He does pretty well on a leash, but loves the freedom of a big backyard where he can run and bark to his heart’s content. He enjoys chewing up stuffed toys and his rawhide bones. He does not play fetch very much, but will with his rawhide sticks and bones. His favorite hobby is sniffing and exploring outdoors. He will occasionally will dig to try to catch a little rodent in the ground. Scotty is very brave for a little guy as has been demonstrated by his willingness to go after snakes and other small animals. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but usually takes him a little longer to get used to larger dogs.

He doesn’t like loud noises nor does he like the sound of heavy rain. Because of this, storms are not things he enjoys. He finds comfort hiding under a bed, or putting his nose in a corner. He is crate trained and sleeps there at night. He can be anxious if he has been separated from his owner for too long.
