Satchel is a brown and white lab mix puppy that we rescued from a kill shelter in Georgia. You might wonder why we rescue Georgia dogs. We don't do it a lot but we do it when we can. You see, Georgia not only has an outrageous kill rate, they gas the pets! That might not mean much to you, but let me assure you it is a painful way to die. The animals die crying! So, we do what we can when we can. Some folks who live in Georgia pull the dogs out and drive them down to us. And Satchel is one of the lucky ones who got pulled. I know his luck will hold when he finds his forever home!!!

Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
