Description:
Manhue and his siblings were rescued from a high kill shelter. Their mother had been dropped off with them at the pound and because their mama had a cold, were scheduled to be put down. This sweet puppies are so cute and full of love!

He is a handsome black and tan puppy with the cutest face. He has gray eyes and a short snout. WE had a dog that was very dear to us and we named him after that dog . He reminded us of our dog, Manhue.  Manhue is stocky and very sturdy in  stature.  His legs are a little shorter than his siblings ,but he can keep up with them in the yard. He loves to play in the yard with his siblings and our other dogs. He loves stuffed  and squeaky toys.

He is not leash trained. He has a regular collar on at present.

The puppies are paper trained . When the door is open to their pen ,he will potty outside. The bedding in the crate is dry after use of it.

Potty training is a continual process. Patience is very important. They are like your young children.

The puppies are fed Pedigree canned and dry puppy food. I also give them plain yogurt. There are Probiotics in the yogurt. He is given ½ cup of dry food and add couple spoons of canned food in the morning. In the evening ,I add several spoons of yogurt to the dry food. They really like the yogurt and canned food. He is given soft Milkbone treats during the  day. They will eat all day.

He will be a great addition to a loving and caring family. He is has a sweet and calm personality. He has little chubby tummy.

***According to dogbreedinfo.com, in April 1899, Capt. Max von Stephanitz registered a dog named Horan as the first Deutsche Schäferhunde, which means German Shepherd Dog in English. Known for their tremendous loyalty and courage, they are calmly confident, but not hostile. This breed needs his people and should not be left isolated for long periods of time. They only bark when it is necessary. Serious and almost human in his intelligence, they have a high learning ability. The breed is so intelligent and learns so readily that it has been used as a sheepdog, guard dog, in police work, as a guide for the blind, in search and rescue service, and in the military. The German Shepherd also excels in many other dog activities including schutzhund, tracking, obedience, agility, flyball, and ring sport. His fine nose can sniff out drugs and intruders, and can alert handlers to the presence of underground mines in time to avoid detonation, or gas leaks in a pipes buried 15 feet underground. A quick daily brushing is best unless hair in the house is not a problem. They should be bathed rarely, only once or twice a year to avoid skin oil depletion. Shepherds have a life expectancy around 13 years.
