Well thank goodness Damaris is a universal name because 'she' got fixed today and we learned that 'she' is actually a 'he'... Damaris is one of Dee Dee's kittens, a beautiful litter, two green-eyed orange tabbys and two blue-eyed Siamese. And DeeDee is a tortoiseshell! I had the joy of fostering this litter and what a joy it was! They are all delightful, so friendly, so inquisitive. They were great with my children, great with my dogs, just down right great! I know it will be easy to find these wonderful kittens a wonderful home, but my hope against hope is that they will be adopted in pairs. If you saw how they play together non-stop until they collapse in a pile of fur, there is just no way you would take one away from its littermates and leave it alone all day long. I mean, who would it play with? Who would it sleep with? This really is true for all kittens. They love to play. Adult cats can handle a solitary life better, but I have really come to appreciate how much more happy most cats are when there is another feline in the house, and how much happier most dogs are when there is another canine to wrestle with. Your "work" level isn't much higher, but you are will probably have a happier pet and hence a happier household.
