Willow showed up one evening at one of our foster moms house looking for food. We could tell she was a lactating mother, but she did not have any kittens with her, so she was left outside to see if she would soon show up with kittens.
A few days later as the foster mom rushed to bring one of her other fosters to an adoption meet, she did not realize that Willow had snuck in the door. When she returned home that evening, Willow was curled up sleeping on her bed, so she had moved in.
Then as fate would have it a few days later, someone brought us 2 two-week-old bottle babies, and Willow was called into action. She took those babies as if they were her own. As soon as the foster mom put the crying hungry babies onto the bed, Willow grabbed one by the neck and took it directly into the closet to nurse it, then came back for the other one. A few days later, a third one was added to the family. Willow loved them and nursed them all as if they were her own.
The best part is still to come as the fourth one was added to the crew. A 4-week-old transitioning kitten arrived and Willow made twenty-seven attempts to carry the kitten to the feeding lair and nurse it, but the kitten was not interested. The foster mom bottle fed and transitioned it in a few weeks, but Willow continued to groom and treat it as one of her own.
Please give this amazing mother cat the forever home she so much deserves!!!!
