About Sterling the Blue Puppy | |
Bluebell and her 8 babies were rescued from a high kill shelter right before their time was up. They were initially brought to animal control after being taken from a hoarder.
Foster Update: Sterling is an adorable baby face little girl with an adventurous personality. She has a beautiful gray and white coat, white blaze and serious blue eyes. She may be the smallest of the bunch, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in attitude! Sterling is independent and observant and loves to explore. She is first to come running when called and last to say goodnight. Sterling does well with dogs of all sizes and is trying to figure out my cats. She will be easy to train and will do well in any family setting with love and time to spare. Miss Sterling was a pleasure to foster and she will be greatly missed in our home.
The Terrier is a good-natured, amusing, extremely loyal and affectionate family pet, which is good with children and adults. Almost always obedient, it is always eager to please its master. It is an extremely courageous and intelligent guard dog that is very full of vitality. They are highly protective of their owners and the owner's property. It is usually very friendly, but has an uncanny ability to know when it needs to protect and when everything is okay. Excellent with children in the family, they have a high pain tolerance and will happily put up with rough child play. As with any breed, they should not be left alone with unfamiliar children. Used as all around working farm dogs, they were referred to as "the poor mans horse". They are strong and generally weigh between 40 and 70 lbs. They have a life expectancy of about 12 - 14 years.
