Foster Update 4/21/12: Vanessa came to us as a semi-feral kitten, along with her brother, Liam, who would hiss and spit if you even looked at her. With time and patience she has slowly learned that getting pets from humans is a wonderful thing! She is still skittish, but making progress daily. She is finally seeking out pets when you're watching TV and finally got brave enough to climb on a lap! If you move your hands too quickly, she starts to run, but soon figures out that you're not going to hurt her. She gets along well with dogs and cats. She would probably to well in an adult household that doesn't have small children chasing her. With the progress she has made, I can see her as a future lap cat because she really loves contact with humans.
