Penny is an awesome adult cat needing a home. She escaped from her home when her owner was in the hospital and went missing for 5 months. Now that she has been found, her owner does not want to reclaim her. Please take this wonderful cat home with you.
Penny, also known as Minne, is orange/cream striped with long, extremely soft, fluffy fur (great to cuddle with!). According to her foster, " Everyone that came to my house and saw her would comment on what a beautiful cat she is. Penny is a very loving kitty and craves attention. She would follow me around the house every morning while I was getting ready, meowing at my feet, begging me to pick her up. Every night she slept in my bed, staying as close to my body as she could. Sometimes she gets a little excited and will run and hide if she hears loud noises or if someone approaches her too quickly. During the day, when no one was home, she liked to sleep under my bed. But as soon as everyone was home from school/work, she was extremely social. I think a very important thing to note is that she needs to go to a home where she can have a safe room. She seemed to feel most comfortable in my bedroom. If there was ever a time where she was out somewhere else in the house and felt scared or startled, she would run straight into my room and stand in the doorway. She would kind of regroup and calm down and then come back out in a couple minutes.
Penny got along very well with my 3 year old male cat. They played non-stop all over the house. She was a little skittish when she first met my 2 golden retrievers but she got used to them within a couple days and ultimately would meow at the door so that she could get out of my room to play with them. She loves toys (or anything that resembles one). She is a very vocal cat and will definitely let you know if she is running low on food in her bowl. Her favorite thing seemed to be to have someone sit and pet her while she ate, although she does a fine job eating whether someone is there or not. "
