Napa was sadly returned to us in Feb because a member of his new family turned out to be very allergic to him. In the short time Napa was in his new home he loved everybody, loved being brushed and petted and would lie on his back, all four legs in the air waiting for attention! Napa is a sweet, gentle boy - good with children and other animals. This is what his family had to say about him:

"Napa is one of the sweetest cats I have ever met, A real " Gentle Giant " if you will. He loves to be around people and likes to follow you around the house. He loves to be pet, rubbed, brushed and washed. When you brush him, he rolls over with all four feet up in the air and lets you brush his belly. Rubbing his belly is another thing, I have never met a cat that likes their belly rubbed, Napa loves it. He does very well with children as he is so gentle, never once let his nails out or even bit. Loud noises do not seem to bother him as I vaccumed around him and he was fine. He likes to sit on the window sill and look at the squirrels and birds but when the front door opens, he never tries to run out. If your looking for a real sweet people cat, Napa is the perfect Gentleman.."

Napa was found under a car in a Napa parking lot. Judy brought him in so he could find a forever home.

Volunteer Update 11.26.11:  Whenever I am in the cat room taking photos Napa is just lounging around appreciating the human company.  Commotion happening around him has not seemed to bother him.

Update 10/24/11: Napa is residing in one of the free roam cat rooms at the shelter. he is doing OK with all the other cats but can get irritated if they are in his space for too long. Mind you, most cats are like that. Napa is a large cat. Regal looking. He is an affectionate boy who enjoys attention, being fussed and gentle petting.
