Foster Update - 4/11/2012 - Odyssey loves attention. She likes to follow you around every where you go. She loves to be pet and loves her cat treats. Now that Odyssey and her brother Woody are used to my house, they play together a lot. Odyssey loves to play. She enjoys all kinds of kitty toys and treats.
Foster Update - 3/20/2012-When I first met Odyssey she was extremly out-going. She acted like she had lived at my place for years. She didn't act nervous or shy. She licked my hands and she just wanted to be loved. She is a very proper lady. She loves her toys & her cat treats. She is hoping that her permanent family comes a long real soon. She is very independent kitty. She hangs out with her brother Woody but they don't seem to need each other. I never see them cuddle or lick each other. I introduced a new foster kitty Selena to them. Odyssey seems a little nervous around her new foster sister so she makes noise to keep Selena from getting too close. However, I think for it only being three days she adjusted to the new foster cat rather quickly. She loves to play and to be brushed. She loves her cat treats.
Foster Update 2/26/12: Odyssey is Still very sweet girl, can be shy at times but over all would do well in any home. She loves to lick you like a dog it is very funny. Does really well with other cats when they get adjusted.
Foster Update 1/24/12: We now call Odyssey "Odyssey the Ninja" because she always has to be a part of the action, and she's so stealthy about it! If you walk into another room, more than likely Odyssey will anticipate your movement and be sitting in the room waiting for you. She can just appear magically! It's quite a talent. She has so much personality; we're really enjoying getting to know her.
Foster Update 1/16/12: Just wanted to give you a quick update on Odyssey. She has been socialized SO WELL that moving to a new (foster) home seems to be just no big deal. She definitely needs to be with other animals and other cats so she can play, but she has adapted very well. I think she really likes being the center of attention, instead of having to share. She looks older, but she still has a lot of kitten in her. She is learning (or re-learning) how NOT to scratch on furniture. She loves sleeping in the bottom drawer of my dresser. That's where she is usually when I get home. She loves mouse toys and she has decided to eat the ears off all of them. But most of all, she loves this roller ball toy that we have. Most of her pictures are with this toy. She is very smart and figured out most of the toys on first try!
She is very needy but only likes to be petted on her terms. Really she just wants to be a part of the action. She doesn't like to be alone. She purrs very loudly and just has the sweetest personality! She was talking a lot to me this morning while getting ready for work, telling me about her day. She's a great cat!
Foster Update 10/3/11: Odyssey is still a very sweet girl. She loves attention and to be close to anyone.
Foster Update 8/30/11: Odyssey is such a sweet baby. She is a little needy. She loves to rub all over you and will cry if she wants you to pick her up. She is just like a baby. She would do very well with a family that already has a cat, because she might need a buddy. She is also much smaller so it should probably be a little cat.
Foster Update 5/12/11: Odyssey: weight 14 oz. She is eating some wet food, but she'd still rather nurse. She likes to climb the baby gate. I love her black and white markings. Also, she likes to be carried in your arms. Litter box trained.
