Description:

Dopey "Belle" was in a loving home, but the family was having a very hard time housetraining this sweet little girl! Her previous owner said she loves children (has lived with a 2 year old) is a happy and playful sweet puppy. She really loves to play with other dogs and LOVES the dog park. I think her next home needs a dog door, fenced in yard and another dog whom can "help" this sweet pup learn the housetraining thing!  

Dopey and her six siblings came to us when they were 10 days old.  Their mother Disney had them in a high kill shelter in the panhandle.  We took in the whole family to find them all forever homes.  Hopefully it will be you! 

 

 

 They love to cuddle and will lay in your arms for hours if you let them.  They can be playing like crazy and the minute you pick one up they melt  in your arms, so happy to be cuddled. They also love to play with toys, and to play tug of war.  House training has not started as with seven little ones running around it is too hard to watch them close enough, but they are very smart and always go in one  place on newspaper in the play pen, so I think it will be easy to get them to use the spot you pick for them to do their business.

The name 'Dopey' is not a reflection of this puppy's personality.  We just thought since there was seven puppies it would be super cute to name them after the seven dwarfs and we even names their mom: Disney!

A happy little tail-wagger! Sociable, brave and intelligent. Calm and loving. Excellent with children and generally good with other dogs, but should not be trusted with non-canine pets, unless they are socialized with cats and other household animals when they are young. Beagles have minds of their own. They are determined and watchful and require patient, firm training. This breed doesn't like being left alone. Consider buying two if you will be gone a lot. A Beagle has a loud baying cry that was a delight to hunting horsemen, but can be disturbing to family and neighbors. Beagles have a tendency to follow their own noses. They may take off on their own exploration if let off their leash in an unfenced area. Energetic and possessing great stamina, the Beagle needs plenty of exercise, but a yard of reasonable size will take care of most of its requirements. A brisk daily walk will cover the rest. Always use a lead when walking this breed or you will be running the risk of it disappearing in search of wild game. They have a life expectancy of about 12-15 years.
