About Abigail the Lover kitten | |
Abigale, her sister Sophie and her mother were found abandoned on a cat carrier on the front doorstep of PRBJ. They must have been someone's family pets, because they are very sociable and not afraid of humans. Abigale and Sophie are in a great foster home, waiting for their forever home. Their mother, Clara is also in a foster home.
Foster Update 1/14/2011 - They seem to be adapting to our household extremely well. I would imagine when they are adopted they will be just as adaptable. They came into our busy house with four children, two 70 lb dogs and a full grown cat that had never seen kittens. They did not hide at all. We have a gate that divides our house and they know they are safe on that side of the gate. They have two rooms and a bathroom and they are quite content with that area. When the dogs are in their crates they like to come out and walk around.
Abigail is just a touch more reserved. My first impression was that this was a very socialized kitten. She loves people. She is very smart and likes to stay close to people because that makes her feel safer. She is a snuggler like her sister. She purrs the minute she see you. At first glance, you would think she is black but as you look closer, you can see faint ghost striping in brown. I would call it brindle. When I researched this on the internet, it said that it could go away as she gets older. She is extremely playful and very entertaining to watch.
