Description: Sammie is a beauty, a lovely snowshoe Siamese with a wonderful "milk" marking on his mouth. He is so comfortable with himself, content to relax most of the time. He would be happy sitting in front of your window or with you when you watch TV. He is very friendly and doesn't seem to fear anything. He's fine with a passive dog and another cat. He is very self-sufficient, loves to play with toys when engages, but won't compete with other cats for your affection. Update from Sammie's foster: "Sammie is quite the curious kitty! He loves to look out the window and watch the world go by. He just likes to check everything out in general! When he's not busy investigating, he loves to nap on my bed. Every day, when I come home from work, Sammie and his buddy, Stripes, greet me with plenty of meows and purrs.
They also like to tuck me into bed at night and snooze along with me and my alarm clock in the mornings. Sammie and Stripes (who I like to call "Chubs") like to take turns lying on my pillow beside my head! Sammie typically takes the night shift and Stripes takes over in the morning. And I mean they are so close to my head that they usually end up pulling my hair when they're trying to get situated! Also, when I get up in the morning, they both follow me to my tiny bathroom, where I have to work around them to brush my teeth, etc. It's so funny!
Sammie is not declawed, although his claws aren't really an issue. He's very good at controlling them, especially when he's giving me some love. He is a wonderful, sweet and cuddly kitty! And don't be afraid that he is FIV positive!!! Please read more about this misunderstood disease by clicking on the FIV - Feline AIDS link under the Information tab."
In addition to the videos below, you can see Sammi playing on Stripes' webpage! Oh, and Sammi doesn't think his foster momma is one bit funny putting those antlers on his head. Ho ho ho indeed!!!
FIV-positive cats are less able to resist illness and so should not be allowed outside or interact with outside cats who may bring in disease. Aside from that, they are pretty much like any other cat. The disease is not easily transferrable - usually the result of a deep-tissue bite (not a common occurance in neutered cats - they prefer to establish dominance through body language). Given plenty of love and care, an FIV-positive cat can be expected to live a normal life. Won't you consider giving a home to one or more?
ADOPTION/DONATION FEE: All Pet Rescue By Judy animals are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, micro chipped and up-to-date on the vaccines applicable to their date of intake with PRBJ and respective to their weight and/or age at the time of adoption.
Pet Rescue By Judy is a non-profit, no-kill organization. The PRBJ donation fee collected may not be used to cover just the costs of this particular animal in which you are interested. As we have a variety of animals in our care with a wide range of medical needs, all donations collected are utilized towards all expenses within the rescue.
The goal of PRBJ is not just to place every animal into a home, but it is to place each animal into the RIGHT home, seeking that forever home, to avoid future transition
