Foster Update:
•  Has some German Shepherd markings
•  Great on the leash, does not pull at all!
•  Easy to manage off the leash as well
•  Quiet and very rarely barks
•  More intelligent than the average Beagle
•  Loves humans and loves attention and having her belly rubbed
•  Always wants to sit by you!
•  Very submissive and obedient

Foster Update 6/21/10:
Family dogs just don't come any sweeter than MaryBeth. She loves her peeps! Her personality has really blossomed sense her puppies have gone to other fosters.

She loves to play with her toys. She plays tug of war with Miranda and she loves to chase the ball at the doggie park. She doesn't do well with dogs she doesn't know. She relaxes after a day or two and starts to accept them. The same with people. Initially, she's shy around people she doesn't know, but after a day or two she warms right up! Aaaand who knew she wouldn't mind the cats. MaryBeth has really been put to the test living with 5 cats. Three of them like to get nose to nose with her.  All I can say is, she better get adopted quick because she may not be available for long!  I may just have to adopt her myself!

Like many dogs in the South, Marybeth is heartworm positive, but don't let that stop you from adopting a great dog.  We are treating her with monthly heartworm preventative, our preferred method.  Many heartworm positive dogs go on to lead long and healthy lives.
