Oakley is a very good, loving dog that has been caught in a family crisis. His mom has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and has to move in with her parents. There is no room at the inn for Oakley. With all this dear woman has to deal with, the least we can do is help her find a wonderful home for her wonderful dog. At a minimum we urgently need to find him a foster home; at the best we would want to find him a forever home. Can you provide either? Let me first tell you about this charming 10-month-old lad. According to his family, he is great with kids, cats and dogs, very friendly, a great watch dog but also a perfect companion. Sounds good so far, doesn't he? He does not like taking baths but he loves to go swimming in the pond. He has a white patch on his chest and one white toenail on his back right foot. He loves car rides and belly rubs. He loves to play fetch but you can tell when he is done because he will take the ball and lay on top of it! Now admit it, you love this dog already and you haven't even met him! Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
