Description: Meet Patches, so named for the cute little patches on his ears. This little guy has come a long way in a short period of time. He was among a litter of kittens we found abandoned by their feral momma. He had learned enough from her to be afraid of people and, as a result, spent the first night hissing and spitting at his foster dad. It's kinda hard to take seriously a 1 pound bag of fluff, but Patches didn't know what to do. But Shawn loved on this baby and cared for him, helping him to slowly overcome this fear. He still hisses at first, mostly on the principle of the thing, and then settles right down when you hold him. Read what Shawn wrote recently: "This little ball of fluff loves to play. I have a adult cat of my own and in the beginning there was trouble, but as time went on they became a new family. I have even seen them sleeping together. I know this fluff ball will make someone happy and with a little work and love he will come around. I no longer have to trap and pet I just put my hand down to him and he will hiss, but after I hold him he calms down and even falls a sleep." We are so blessed by our foster families who work so hard to help our pets trust again and prepare them for someone who will love them forever! Patches isn't quite ready for adoption yet but he does need someone to sponsor him to offset the $110 bill he will run up for neutering, shots and check-up. Will you help out? Please read about our sponsor program under the Animal dropdown at the top of the page. And thank you for caring about rescued pets!
