Description:I know that Sasha II is a really weird name for a dog, but we have had so many Sashas that we had to come up with something unique. Not very creative, but unique. Sasha II was found as a stray. She is very happy and playful.
Foster Update: Michelle allowed me to take Sasha II home as a foster to see how she would do with our dog and cat. I would like to tell you the things we learned about Sasha during her short stay with us. Hopefully it will help her find the perfect home that she so deserves to have:
· As you already know, she has one of the sweetest temperaments I’ve ever experienced,
especially for a dog that I just met.
· She takes treats and food very politely. Not like any junkyard dog I’ve ever heard of!!
· She is afraid to walk by the pool – she either couldn’t figure it out or figured it out and
didn’t like it.
· She plays very well with other dogs.
· She is soooooo close to housebroken. She only pee’d in the house 1 time and was here 24
hours. She went out often with my dog; I went with them the 1st couple of times to make
sure they were ok but after that I just let them go and they had a ball and I guess she just did
her business then because she never did it in the house again!
· She doesn’t bark much at all.
· She wants to EAT cats.
· She rides well; paces a little bit but isn’t afraid and will stay in the back if you tell her too.
· She is not a glutton and doesn’t fight over treats.
· She nibbled on my dog lovingly – like she wants to play and loves her all at the same time!!
Foster Update 5/26/10: Sasha is very friendly and was my lap dog the first day I brought her to our home. She likes constant attention but is completely independent when outside. We have been to the dog park where she gets along with every dog there but if I take her off leash, she takes off on her own and does not come when called. Maybe it is because I am new to her and she was a stray. I keep her on a leash at all times when outside except for our fenced backyard. She will go into the crate readily but was up on the bed the first night and wanted to cuddle until falling asleep. A sweet dog who probably would love the company of another dog and definitely a family who she can be next to if not lying in their lap.
Foster Update 6/3/10: Sasha learned the household routine quickly. She enjoys walks on a leash and greeting the neighborhood dogs. She loves to play fetch, tug of war and go for rides in the car. She will crawl into the lap of anyone who encourages her but also obeys the NO and OFF command.
A very loving dog who struts around on a leash eager to meet everyone. She sleeps through the night and is ready to play in the morning or go for a walk. She has been very good when left alone for a couple of hours and loose in the house although she will go in her crate is you tell her to.
Foster Update 6/10/10: Sasha loves to give and receive affection, enjoying lots of kisses and belly rubs. She is eager to please and learns new things quickly. She will come when called now although I keep her on a leash for walks. New people are always greeted warmly and when our mail carrier stopped his truck to say hello, she stepped right up into the truck with tail wagging for a scratch on the head.
A favorite game is fetch where she brings it back to you for some tug of war then fetch again. Favorite outdoor activities are playing with other dogs, chasing lizards and squirrels, going for rides and walks. Sasha would be a wonderful companion for another dog. She remembers the houses where dogs live when we walk and always stops to see if they are out. She is well behaved, easy to care for, happy and loving. She prefers wet food and will clean the bowl if a spoonful of canned food is mixed in with dry food. She also enjoys Milkbone treats and chewing on toys so we got her the kind that do not come apart and are made for chewing.
