Description:
Foster Update 6/1 - I have been fostering Phoenix and Callie for almost two weeks and all is going well. Phoenix is a little more shy than Callie. He doesn't hide especially, just lays low. He pops out with regularity for pats and loving, but then eases away. Still in the adjustment process, I guess. He has been venturing out more lately, but anything unexpected sends him scurrying. He also has a habit of grabbing the petting hand in his mouth. He doesn't bite down, just holds. I have been making an ugly noise and removing my hand from further pats. This behaviour comes and goes, so maybe he is still adjusting. Having said, that, he has a very endearing quiet personality and I am very fond of him. He too has had no problems with the dogs and cats already in residence.
Phoenix was found wandering around Winter Springs. The nice gentleman who found him felt he was probably dumped. We hear so many stories like that lately! He's a lovely manx who came to us with a broken tail. Poor baby. He's a sweet thing who is ready for his forever home.
