Emerald and her three puppies are calling PRBJ their home for now.  Emerald is a bit shy with other dogs and can become defensive, maybe it's because she has three little ones with her.

 

Emerald is a young Lab and has all the energy and enthusiam you would expect in a dog her age but she is VERY shy and submissive and will require a bit of trust to get her to come out of her shell.

They have an excellent, reliable, temperament and are friendly, superb with children and equable with other dogs. They crave human attention and need to feel as though they are part of the family. Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
