Brooklyn was brought to PRBJ as a stray.  Unfortunately, after posting to find her owners no one showed up to claim her. She then went into a foster home where we could get to know more about her. 
She is sweet baby that loves the attention of her people. She has done well with other dogs and no issues with people.  Brooklyn is playful and active, so she is hoping for a forever home with a family that is active..... but will also have time for cuddling. As she is still young, she will need some basic training

New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.   
 
Cocker Spaniels are, by nature, loving and family oriented dogs. They follow their noses outside and enjoy adventures in the yard, lake, and parks. 
  Usually gettting along well with kids, adults, and animals, Cockers are a favorite breed for apartments, codos, townhomes, and single family homes alike. They do need exercise, so owners need ensure the get their daily dose of romping and runing around. Being a Spaniel, Cockers get excted about smaller critters....they may even bring you back a  lizard, rabbitt, or bird.  They're very busy little dogs. Whenever you see one, it will probably have its nose to the ground, its bottom in the air, rooting around in the undergrowth or zigzagging from one sniff to the next.  And, of course, that little tail will be wagging; it never stops, no matter what he's doing! His tail will be wagging back and forth so enthusiastically that his whole back end will be wagging...the tail will almost be wagging the dog!
  Cockers have droppy ears which should be checked regularly to avoid ear infections. Regular 6 week grooming is suggested to maintain a healthy coat, paws, and ears.  Brushing a Cocker's coat will be part of your dog's daily grooming routine to prevent tangles, knots, and matted fur.   A buildup of ear hair is one of the most common reasons why Cocker Spaniels will develop ear infections. Owners should regularly check the inside of a Cocker's ear for any odor, drainage, and excess hair.
