A fenced backyard is preferred to keep Oreo safe and give him a space to romp and play (6 foot would be ideal). Oreo is not an apartment dog, he likes to know where your at, if crated will bark because wants to be with you, if loose will not bark. 

Oreo is a wonderful dog, good in the car, crate-trained, and good with other dogs and even cats!  When Oreo went to get groomed @ Woofgang in Lake Mary they said he was the best client so easy to groom!  Oreo is prim and proper and ready to go to an ACTIVE forever home, could that be you?

The American Kennel Club breed standard describes schnauzer temperament as "alert and spirited, yet obedient to command ... friendly, intelligent and willing to please... never overaggressive or timid as well as highly playful."

Schnauzers need:

• Exercise of one long brisk walk or jog daily, plus shorter outings, and play totaling about an hour a day.
• Necessary grooming – expect 6 to 8 weeks between clipping sessions.  Brushing in between grooming visits and wiping/cleaning beard after meals.
• To have a task to do; regular training sessions are critical to engage them mentally and establish pack order.  If you don't give a schnauzer a task to do, they will find a task that you may not like!!!!
