Description:

To keep this sweet boy happy, we are recommending a 6 foot fenced backyard so he can have lots of space to run and play in.

Wally came to PRBJ after his owner was no longer to care for him due to health issues. Wally is a very sweet and energetic young dog who is looking for an active family that will able to play with him and take him out on long walks so he can explore.

An Aussie needs ample room to run, sprint, chase, and sniff. If you’re up for the challenge, they can evolve into impressive athletes. They love mental stimulation, too, and excel at puzzles. Stock up on your hiking gear because an Aussie is ready to GO.

Wally is crate trained and likes sleeping in his crate. He is housebroken and love other dogs and humans of all ages and sizes.

Basic Grooming Advice for Australian Sheperds

Their beautiful coat needs consistent upkeep to prevent mats and keep hair tidy.

  • Fequent brushing is critical! They shed a lot. It's important to brush out dead hair and stimulate the skin. A slicker brush paired with a long tooth undercoat rake is good. Get all the way through the hair but don’t irritate the skin.
  • Do NOT shave this breed. It ruins th e delicate balance of the coat , which insulates from heat and cold by holding a layer of temperate air close to the body. The coat may never grow back the same if this breed is shaved.
  • Bathe your Australian shepherd no more than once a month.
