Description:

Buster, along with his mom, Babs, and 8 siblings, found their way to PRBJ after a high kill shelter reached out to see if this family could get a second chance with us. Well, the sweet mama and her babies arrived and have been receiving lots of TLC.

Buster has been living in a foster home and they report he is:

  • A loving little guy and is very close to being fully housetrained.
  • Happiest with another dog his size and energy level and an active family who is home a lot.
  • Great with their Boxer mix and even does great with the foster family's not so friendly cat :)
  • Always hungry....think food treats are the way to successful training:)
  • In the "zoomies stage" and treats stuffed inside toys help keep him stimulated and engaged.
  • Quite energetic and y ounger kids/seniors may find his energy level overwhelming.
  • Enjoying the outside, but he will dig to get to the sweet smelling stuff in the ground...it's summertime after all and the cool dirt is alluring to lay down in.
  • A great adition to a family willing to continue his puppy training and engage him in daily exercise.

New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization, and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog.  We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.
