Beautiful Aspen and her ski resort-named puppies were found under a house where they had been hiding for weeks. Luckily the little family was caught and brought in from the cold just before we had a deep freeze of 20–30 degree temps. It was only fitting to name this sweet family after Colorado ski towns.
Aspen has blossomed in her foster home; although, it has taken her time to relax and trust. She has become a comfy luv who is still learning to play, but loves to snuggle and give dog kisses:) She enjoys time outside and walks around the block. She is perfectly house-trained and sleeps through the night. A quiet, easy-going home would be best, since she still is unsure of her surroundings and can get nervous and retreat to her crate when there are loud noises and new people. She is good with dogs her size or smaller. She walks well on a leash but would prefer a fenced backyard where she can explore.
Aspen is a very sweet girl who will require patient owners who will give you time to feel comfortable, but she is definitely worth loving and training. If you are interested in this sweet girl, please put in an application and an adoption team member will contact you via email.
A fenced backyard would be beneficial to give her a safe place to play and explore.
Foster Update: Aspen has been a great addition to our home and is a very sweet dog. At about 25-30 pounds she is the perfect size to walk and cuddle with on the couch. She is house-trained and does good with our small dog but unsure how to play. She likes to have a quiet space in the house where she can go if unsure of something or someone. She eats well, and does good walking on the lease but is unsure of loud noises. She took a few days to feel comfortable in our home but we see her opening up more every day. She opens up quickly to anyone at home a lot but will take time with other family members. She will be the perfect dog to hang out at home and walk in your neighborhood but may not be one to take to festivals or events. She would be a great addition to any home if someone is willing to give her time to adjust.
