Jade's foster mom returned her back to PRBJ.  Here is what she had to say about Jade.

Fostering Jade:

I fostered Jade for about a month before I needed to discontinue because my time spent at home was going to decrease dramatically.

Jade is a very sweet and loving cat who needs a lot of affection. I introduced her to a few people, men and women, and she seems to get along fine with any person. She's a vocal cat and does not like to be away from her person long, and will meow at you and follow you around until you come sit with her. She's not particularly playful, and is happiest just sitting in your lap or falling asleep beside you. Being brushed is her favorite, cheek and chin scratches are a close second. She does not like to scratch - things, furniture, cardboard, or cat trees. Because of this her claws are quite long and will need to be trimmed. She does seem to have some stomach issues. She wouldn't wipe herself on furniture or carpet, but I would occasionally find small poop stains around the house.

Jade does not like to be away from people, and she has a tendency to over-groom when she feels lonely or anxious. If she doesn't feel like she gets enough time with you during the day, she'll most likely wake you up in the middle of the night (by pawing your face or hands) so you can pet her and love on her. For reference, I would get home from work about 5:30pm, cook dinner and spend time with Jade, and then shower before bed around 10:30pm. If I stopped by the grocery store or got home from work late, I would get woken up that night. I think she would benefit most from a household with someone who's home most of the day, or another cat to keep her company.

Fostering Jade was such an immense pleasure, and she is easily the most affectionate and cuddly cat I've ever been around. Due to some work and family obligations, I couldn't see myself having the time to spend with her that she needs. I hope she's doing well back at the shelter and that she finds a sweet home to go to. If you need any more information or pictures, please feel free to reach out to me.

Beautiful Jade was adopted from Pet Rescue by Judy a little over eight years ago, and was just found as a stray.  This is why we keep all Microchips under Pet Rescue by Judy, so when one of our babies are found, we will get them back.  The woman that found Jade said she saw her in a parking lot and Jade allowed her to pet her.  A few days later, Jade appeared on her balcony.  She fed her and had her scanned and the chip came back to us. Jade is amazing!  She is so affectionate and sweet; this laid back kitty loves to be petted, hugged, and just snuggle with you. She also will let you clip her nails.  Please let's give this sweet senior another chance at a great home where someone will keep her safe from harm by keeping her inside, and love her forever.
