Quartz had the opportunity to stay with a foster family during the hurricane. They had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. They said she is smart, playful, and inquisitive. She knows how to sit and she's on her way to mastering potty training (she hasn't quite nailed it yet). She loves to play, run, and jump outside. She can fetch a stick, but she might not bring it back every time :) She made friends with both of our large dogs who played very well with her. She loves bedtime because that means snuggle time! She will bark a little when you leave her alone, but that is just because she misses you. Her favorite word is "Snackies"!

New puppy parents will need to be dedicated to obedience, and socialization, and continue with potty training to ensure pup grows up to be happy and well-adjusted dogs. We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.
Hound dogs are generally working dogs who love to use their noses. They need a good amount of exercise, otherwise, they tend to take out their frustration on your furniture or shoes:) This breed is generally wonderful with kids and loves to snuggle with their humans after a day's adventure. Social in nature, Hounds love to be with their people and romp in the backyard searching for stuff that smells good.
Please fill out an adoption application on our website to foster/adopt Quartz.
