Laurel's brother, Hardy (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
Description: We adopted Laurel (now Maverick) as in the Laurel and Hardy. Maverick is doing SO much better than when we first brought him home. He's about the graduate the beginner training class at Petsmart and has really coming a long way training wise. He knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake, heel, and properly loose leash walk. We have spent time working with him each time and he responds very well to training. He has a doggy door to come and go into the fenced back yard as he pleases. He loves to watch for raccoons in the backyard and then slowly creep out the doggy door to chase them out of the back yard. He did get into trouble digging up some lilies about a month ago, but that's the only thing he's done. We also take him to GODOGS (doggy daycare) one day a week here in Oviedo. He does so well playing with the other dogs and we think this is an excellent outlet for him. We walk him twice a day, 45 min each time and a few times a week he has "play dates" with dog friends in our neighborhood. He's such a wonderful dog and we love having him as part of our family. My family lives in Sarasota and we have taken him on two trips there already. I think it helped him know that home is our house with us and he did really well at Grandma and Grandpa's too. He played well with all the cows! He laid on his back and all three cows, came up, sniffed him and wanted to play. He really does well with all types of animals that he's met so far, even cats and ferrets. Thanks for your time and all you do for our furry friends.
