Foster update Summer 2022:  She has adjusted well to our home, kids, dog, and our general busy lifestyle. She has shown some food aggression towards our dog, but this has greatly reduced as the pair have developed a trusted relationship. (Note we feed them separately, and the aggression was created by our dog sniffing her food container- we moved it to a higher location). We recommend slowly introducing Maple to new dogs.

~Summer Camp!!   Maple Leaf is one lucky pup!  She was able to attend Camp Doglando - a fabulous summer camp for kids and rescue dogs.  Dogs learn basic obedience, crate training, socialization and so much more!  It is such a great time for kids and dogs!  Maple Leaf got a fabulous head start in training and is ready to join your family!!~  
 

Maple Leaf is great at walking on a leash. If she joins an active family we are not requiring that she have a fenced-in backyard. However, if her future family is less active then we would like for her to have a fenced yard that she can run in. Maple Leaf is good with most dogs, but can sometimes be particular about who she likes (but she LOVES all people). 

A few months ago we noticed that Maple had trouble holding her urine (not that she couldn't wait to get outside, but that she just seemed to be leaking often). She went to our vet who did surgery on her vulva to correct the problem. She was still slightly leaking so they prescribed her Proin to take daily (only $40 per month). This has stopped the leaking completely!
