Foster up date 4/1/21:

Marcus is such a good boy! Someone spent a lot of hours training this good boy. We keep stumbling on words or commands that he already knows. I was outside playing with him, and just happened to say, “Ok, time to go inside.” And he understood me and headed for the door. He also knows sit, stay, crate, outside, potty. And of course, BALL. Marcus must have been a professional fetch player before he came to PRBJ because he is all about the tennis ball. When we brought him home, he kept putting the ball in my lap, and I didn’t understand until we went outside. Every time you throw it, he brings it back and deposits it at your feet. He will look in every nook and cranny if you ask him, “where’s your ball?” He knows what to do if you tell him to bring the ball inside, or get the ball, or drop the ball. He drops it at your feet, and if you don’t pick it up, he noses it over to you.

Marcus is excited and eager to play, but also disciplined not to jump up or get wild. Usually you have to pick a dog that is mellow and calm or a dog that is eager and excited, but with Marcus, you get the best of both worlds.

Dog for a day 3/4/21

We departed the rescue as strangers and just a few hours later returned as friends.  Marcus  is SO MUCH FUN! Fantastic on the leash and ready for anything. A power walk, a restorative rest by the water, meeting his new admirers...you name it, he was down with it. He never pulled or showed much interest around other dogs or small animals. He was very playful, gentle, and affectionate and an overall doll. He just seems so ready to meet his furever family 

Dog for a day 2/27/21 

Marcus was a dream for our afternoon. He loved meeting people and was chill listening to all the music. Very well behaved, wanted to make friends with everyone, but was patient and gentle the entire time. He did wonderfully with my young son. A true gem of a dog. 

Marcus is a happy go lucky boy he is good on the leash when wearing an easy walker harness. He loves to play with his squeeky toys and loves to give kisses.  Marcus  came from a local kill shelter. His skin was in very bad shape, but with a medicated bath every 3 days and his skin has started to turn around.
