Tilly dog for the day update :
"I had a great day with Tilly! She’s a super soft (fantastic coat!) and affectionate girl who loves to walk. We started out on a nature trail and it was so sweet how she walked right by my side and if she got more than a few steps ahead she’d look back to check on me and get some love. Once other people were on the trail, the narrow passageways made her very protective and she barked at people walking by (she made me feel safe, that’s for sure!). We switched to a more open space and she was friendly and still good on the leash and she was especially sweet with children at the park. She has great energy and also knows how to relax, sitting beside me on a blanket without a care in the world and no desire to chase the ducks and birds nearby. She was great in the car, requiring lots of encouragement to get in and out but content for the ride. Overall, she was a total sweetheart and fabulous companion!"
Blue Heelers are very good dogs--loyal, easy to train, and great with families. They have a lot of energy and need space and attention to get all their energy out.
Tilly
must
have another high energy dog in the home to play with.
A 6 foot fenced backyard a must - she will jump a 4 foot
Tilly was found as a stray. She was posted and reported to the proper sites. Tilly knows the commands, 'sit' and 'down.' She is great on the leash and looks for your command while on a walk. Tilly is crate and housetrained; she plays with other dogs and my one-eyed cat.
Please note that only applicants with a 6' fully fenced yard and another young, active dog who like to actively play will be considered. (Invisible fences will not be considered).
