Marley is a sweet girl who is very shy. She needs a home where the owners will teach her confidence. She needs a strong-minded owner that can give her lots of love so she can flourish. Marley would also love a quiet household, with an easy-going dog to model after:) She came to us when her owner surrendered her as their home was overly active and Marley didn't seem comfortable with all the commotion and activity in the home.
Hounds are very sensitive breeds and feel the emotions of their humans. If in a home with anxiety, they too will be anxious. Marley would be best in a home where she can get her needed exercise and have a calm, structured family/household to hang out with. Hounds respond better to gentle redirection, rather than being yelled at or separated from their owners..they are very social dogs and like to be with their people.
Marley, as a coonhound, will follow her nose, so owners need to be watchful when she is off-leash as she will be led by the good smells all around her:)
