Description:Winnie had been adopted through Pet Rescue by Judy at one time, but was found by Seminole County out roaming. The county checked her microchip and brought her back to Judy’s. Winnie would love to have a new home, and she is well behaved and affectionate with a soulful gaze at anyone petting her. Her coloring is unique, with a dark and light delineation on her face. Her beautiful eyes gaze up at anyone visiting her. If you are looking for a pet that will have a peaceful presence in your home, it’s Winnie.
Winnie is the supermom of the year. Look at the beautiful litter of kittens she gave birth to and raised! She is such a love. She was a nurturing mom and now it's HER turn to get nurtured and loved. I think all the moms out there can appreciate that sentiment :)
This is her wonderful foster's description: Winnie is a beautiful calico female, who was an excellent mama to this litter. She is actually the first cat to have a litter at the Center! Now that her mama days are over, she is looking for a home where she can rule the roost. She loves attention, and it makes her day if you let her snuggle on the couch with you. She is talkative, especially when you are paying attention to someone other than her... but she's never overly demanding. She will patiently wait her turn.
According to cat-lovers-only.com, the Calico cat breed is actually not a breed at all, but a tri-color coat patter, often black, red, and white. Many different types of cats can have this coat pattern, and it is not restricted to any particular type of breed. All three colors are in a distinct patches, not mixed as in Tortoiseshells. To be a true tri-color, a calico cat's colors must be: 1) white; 2) red or cream; and 3) black, blue, chocolate, lilac, cinnamon, or fawn. The variations in color from red and black are caused by a gene which dilutes, or lightens up the basic color, and produces a dilute calico cat, most commonly with a coat of white, cream, and blue."
