Description:
Maya and her siblings were found under a car infested with fleas, underweight, and filthy.  With some time and TLC they are now healthy and ready for forever homes.  When they were found Maya was only 4 ounces, all of her siblings were at least double that size. We were concerned that she wouldn't even survive, but not only did she survive, she absolutely thrived and is beautiful.  She is mostly white except for tabby markings on her head and her tail is solid tabby.  Maya is the only female in her litter and the most petite, but don't tell her that, she keeps up with her bigger brothers just fine.  But when it's snuggle time she is a real sweetheart.

Maya and her siblings are extremely well socialized.  They love to meet new people and children. They have absolutely no fear of dogs and even like other cats that are not in their litter.  Maya will keep you smiling and I bet she'd really love to go to her new home with one of her siblings.

6.17.09 Volunteer Update~
For those of us there for the chaos on the night of this litter's arrival (how many volunteers does it take to wash 4 hysterical kittens?  Answer: 5), these have affectionately become known as the "purrito" kittens.  I actually still have a picture of Maya on my phone from that night because somehow she wound up wrapped in a dishtowel and tucked into my chest sound asleep.  Trust me, if I had been able to dedicate my time to a bottle baby, it would have been her.  She's an extremely special little girl.  I'm still exercising a heck of a lot of self-control not to steal the next time I see her foster mom.
