Description:

"Blix was found tied up outside on a front porch of an office building.  The dog is microchipped and when the owner was located they said they no longer wanted to keep him. Blix is crate trained and loves toys, he was on good behavior when he met some of our other dogs.   This poor baby was just left abandoned. He is highly energetic so a family with a fenced in back yard would be needed.  Also, an energetic family that likes to run would be highly recommended. He still needs some manners training and a lot of exercise so that he can be a perfect canine citizen.
If you are interested in Blix please put an application in.   This sweet dog did not deserve being abandoned and now needs a serious lifetime family.

DOG FOR A DAY 12/12/18:

Blix went out for our Dog for a day program. Here is what they had to say about him:

"Blix did great on his day out with me. He enjoyed the car ride on the way to my house and remained calm when I opened the windows for him. Once we got there he met my other dog and was very friendly. He enjoyed going on walks, running, playing with toys, and playing fetch. He is a little bit nippy, but that can be corrected with training. His personality is independent, goofy, and very playful."

DOG FOR A DAY 12/23/18

Blix did great on all the car rides today. He was very calm the entire time, even when the windows were rolled down. Once at my house he explored and found the TV remotes and tried to chew them, thinking they were toys. He seemed to enjoy our backyard and ran around for a while. He was a bit nippy in the beginning of his visit but after a few hours he no longer nibbled on me. There were no accidents inside the house. He seems like a very independent dog but still retains a lot of energy. He guided our walks but was responsive to commands.

We do not advise that this dog be in a home with cats. He is very assertive with cats, which puts them on edge.
