Meet Scruffy!   She and Duffy were left outside in crates with hair so matted that they could barely move.    They had clearly been neglected for a long time.   Despite that, they are happy and loving with ever wagging tails!     Scruffy is the bolder one of the two.   If another dog is being petted, she wants to be petted too and will not hesitate to climb on and all over you!   She can't get enough which is very understandable.   They are very bonded and like velcro, as they like to be touching in some way.   We have been fostering them for about 24 hours so will be updating as we learn more.     They are not too sure about going in and out of doors and are a bit afraid of new things, such as a laundry basket.   They adapt quickly though as they have already gotten used to my Dad's walker and are figuring out our routine.    Scruffy is very agile and likes to jump on the couch or the top of anything she can get to so will need supervision and work in this area!  She also likes to carry shoes around and likes to play with toys but has a short attention span with them so far.    Not sure about housetraining but I can already say it is better than I was expecting.   Based on the condition they were in I was wondering whether they were even in a house before coming to us.   They are  not too sure about leashes and will need some time and patience but Scruffy is a fantastic dog and I have no doubt Duffy and Scruffy will bring a lot of joy to their furever family!
