UPDATE:  After 3 years of having a home Pearl's owner decided he is not the cat for her.  Pearl is sweet to all of us at the rescue, he loves to be brushed and pet.   He is litter boxed trained.   His grooming is a must to be kept up with so his beautiful hair does not get all knotted.   He was sent back to PRBJ because, again, after 3 years his owner stated he is not a lap cat and chewed on cords.   When you adopted a pet there are going to be times adjustments in the home might need some attention to keep owners and pets happy and safe.    Once you meet this magnificent cat you will fall in love.

Pearl was owner surrendered to Pet Rescue by Judy.   His owner moved and had no one to care for this beauty.   Yes, Pearl is a male.  At first his owner thought he was female and after the discovery she kept his name.    She informed us that Pearl is litterboxed trained, good with cats, has never been around dogs.   He might hiss if he gets scared but will never bite.  He does love belly rubs and chasing laser lights.   He will require his fur to be brushed daily to keep it from getting matted.   If you are interested in Pearl please put an application in.
